How To Spell Love

Combining evocative poetry, dance and a powerful percussive soundtrack, this multi-screen video installation from writer and performer Anisa Nandaula navigates relationships, identity, culture and place.

Originally developed as a stage production for Brisbane Festival 2020 and now reimagined for the big screen, How to Spell Love is a distinctive examination of love, relationships and life as a migrant woman in contemporary Australia.

With Director of Photography Robin Tampoe and AV Designer Freddy Komp, the stage production has been transformed into a video installation, which compounds the power and authenticity of this stunning work.

How to Spell Love is a passionate and triumphant act of personal storytelling.

Duration 20 minutes, running continuously Fri 3 + Sat 4 Sep, 10am – 5pm.

OPENING NIGHT

Join Anisa, cast and crew, for light refreshments and a screening of the installation on Thu 2 Sep, 7-9pm.
Free event, with a drink provided on arrival. Bookings essential, here.
