Ashleigh White is a director, choreographer and performer who is interested in creating site-specific dance works that engage new audiences in places familiar by collaborating with artists across different disciplines. Ashleigh received her Bachelor of Arts from WAAPA in 2012 before founding Gogi Dance Collective. Ashleigh has also worked with Everybody NOW, Tammy Zarb and Co, The Flash Collective, Phluxus2 Dance Collective, Kate Shearer, All the Queens Men and Travers Ross. Most recently Ashleigh choreographed and performed a work called Social Fabric in STRUT Dance’s season Situ-8, at the State Theatre Centre of WA. Ashleigh is passionate about developing a methodology for creating site-specific works and furthering her artistic practice of dancing on the beach.
