Kaveh Akbari Arya was born in the immediate post-revolution Iran. He migrated to Australia as a refugee with his family in 1995 after living through the Iran-Iraq war. Known as The Unlikely Poet, Kaveh channels his personal experience through his social projects, as well as his written and performance poetry.
As a professional kickboxer and fitness coach, he managed a training academy in Rockdale 10 years to the arrival COVID, where he reached and helped individuals through the physical medium while running a variety of programs promoting egalitarian culture and healthy masculinity and strength in vulnerability. He is currently a post graduate student at University of New South Wales.
Writers Republic is an arts production company based on the Sunshine Coast QLD. The company has toured international works throughout Australia, and continues to be at the forefront of digital adaptations of shows for international markets in response to the global pandemic.
