The Bloom Collective came together in 2017 as a Brisbane-based multi-arts collective interested in rethinking relationships to particular environments. Using performance as a central creative element, the artists place themselves in landscapes, engaging in sites with ritual attentiveness. The collective features five leading artists:
- Jan Baker Finch is an exponent and teacher of the art of eurythmy and sees her dance as a ‘listening movement’ through which to enhance the sights and sounds of the environment.
- Renata Buziak is a photo-media artist. Her practice involves cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural research, and collaborations.
- Vicki Kelleher is a poet and writer who creates arts projects exploring non-separation between the self and landscape.
- Erik Griswold and Vanessa Tomlinson are Clocked Out. Together they create and produce innovative music, inter-arts, and intercultural events that extend experimental traditions in engaging and thought-provoking ways.
