How To Spell Love - Opening Night
How To Spell Love - Opening Night
Join writer and performer Anisa Nandaula, cast and crew for the Opening Night of How to Spell Love, a multi-screen video installation that combines evocative poetry, dance and a powerful percussive soundtrack.
Originally developed as a stage production for Brisbane Festival 2020 and now reimagined for the big screen, How to Spell Love is a distinctive examination of love, relationships and life as a migrant woman in contemporary Australia.
With Director of Photography Robin Tampoe and AV Designer Freddy Komp, the stage production has been transformed into a video installation, which compounds the power and authenticity of this stunning work.
How to Spell Love is a passionate and triumphant act of personal storytelling. Come and celebrate the opening of this powerful work with light refreshments and a screening of the installation. Free event, with a drink provided on arrival. Bookings essential.
Installation
The installation can also be seen on on Fri 3 + Sat 4 Sep, 10am – 5pm. Duration 20 minutes, running continuously.
