I Sea U
I Sea U
Over the past 9 years, Sunshine Coast photographer Keith Hamlyn has been capturing portraits of people in the sea, documenting their collective connection to the ocean through a stunning portrait series, I Sea U.
Horizon Festival has partnered with Keith to build upon I Sea U in 2021, capturing the locals of the community and their unique connection to the sea.
Featuring members of the community from Currimundi to Golden Beach, this beautiful outdoor exhibition will be installed in Happy Valley for the duration of Horizon Festival.
“For me a big part of being Australian or for that matter human, is our relationship to water. Even if we come from the desert, the moment we meet the water there is a transformation, and for each of us we are taken somewhere of our own knowing. In this imagery I hope to capture people in that space, so that perhaps we the observers can search out where these subjects have gone and truly see them for the first time.”
– Keith Hamlyn, Photographer
