The Sunshine Coast Art Prize is one of the most dynamic and prestigious visual arts awards in Australia. Now in its 16th year, this premier art event attracts entries from established and emerging artists from across the nation.
The Sunshine Coast Art Prize exhibition presents finalist artworks, representing diverse 2D genres including oil, acrylic, print and photography. The prize incorporates a suite of awards, including an acquisitive Major Prize, Highly Commended Award, Artist Residency Prize and the People’s Choice Award, voted by visitors to the Gallery.
Guest judge in 2021 is Renai Grace who brings her vast experience to the task of judging the winners of this year’s Art Prize.
Currently Director/CEO of the Museum of Brisbane, Renai has 25 years of experience as a corporate creative spanning curating museums & galleries, managing art collections & public art collections, co-founding art galleries and national & international arts consultancy.

KIDS ACTIVITY
Kids can explore the Sunshine Coast Art Prize with ‘Art in a Bag’ freshly curated by Caloundra Regional Gallery and bursting with engaging materials and instructional activities inspired by the artworks on show.
The pack is ideal for kids aged 4 to 12 years. Take one home after your visit to the gallery and watch the kids get creative in their own space.
